Stop Asking “Why?”

Making sense of something that doesn’t make sense doesn’t make sense.

Yeah! You’re really doing it!

Our neighbor is a therapist and has all sorts of tips on how to communicate with and understand people. People I don’t understand followed the orders of an ousted president and created (more) chaos, destruction and death in America yesterday in his service. Concerning the events, I was asking her “why” questions and she said I needed to stop—because asking “why” in regards to Trump and his supporters is useless. There is no logical reply.

It’s true. I’ve tried and failed to get answers to all of my questions. When I ask “why” it always ends in some weird spiral that leads to how bad socialism is, #AOC, or “what about Hunter Biden?”

Questions like:
Why do you still support Trump?
Why is this Obama’s fault?
Why are so many Republicans in denial of reality?
Why are you blaming Democrats for America’s turmoil and division?

Lesson of the day: don’t ask people questions when you know you won’t get real answers.

I’ve been ready to ignore Donald Trump and all the stupid people who think he’s a king for over four years. And I still can’t. Like a giant garbage barge summoned toward rocks by an orange Siren, Trump’s base presses onward to…
