If Trump Were a Busser at Olive Garden
My first two posts on Medium were this one and this one. Both of which were an exercise in figuring out what it would look like if our president had a job that I had — because I can’t imagine he would last long if he acted the way he does as president. Any decent, logical person who chooses to pay attention (even just a little bit) can tell you that the president’s behavior is unsavory most of the time. If you don’t think that’s an accurate statement, you’re not paying attention — and you should be paying attention.
Today, and for years, people have been kicked off teams, banned from playgrounds and fired from normal jobs for things like lying, grabbing pussies, being incompetent, abusing power, being racist, cheating and on and on. Yet, Trump, the loudest and most visible jerk in America, manages to maintain support from so-called Republican party. The math doesn’t make sense and nothing I can write makes a shred of difference, but this exercise is useful for me.
I don’t expect any Trump voters to change their minds (or votes) based on this, or anything else I write, because if they don’t already know they’re rooting for one of the worst figures in our country’s history, then I can’t convince ‘em. Apparently, nothing can (because there’s a metric ton of evidence available for you to read if you decided to find out about the villain they support).
