How Dumb Are We?

Lots of educated people in this country. Lots of folks who know how to Google things and find information. It’s really not that hard.

If we want to find THE BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES all you’ve gotta do is Google it.

What kind of dog is Beethoven? Google.

How do I clean stainless steel? Google IT.

And yet, so many Americans can’t seem to figure out how often and how boldly they’re being lied to by the president and his Republican allies.

“Democrats can try to conceal the dangerous truth with a Hollywood-produced infomercial, but they can’t hide the fact that the radical socialist leftist takeover of Joe Biden is complete.” The Trump campaign’s national press secretary actually said that in response to night one of the Democratic National Convention two nights ago. “Radical socialist leftist takeover.” If that doesn’t scare fear-motivated, paranoid people, I don’t know what will. Saying “socialist” to a Republican is like saying “Mufasa” to a hyena—Oooooo, it tingles.

The thing that’s troubling, is that it works. The word itself has become a villain and cattle prod for Republicans in America.

I didn’t watch the convention, but I read a little bit and watched a video or two and what I read and heard checked out with reality. Trump is inept, doing a terrible job, he lies constantly and is incapable of leading even a horse to water.
