Going Places With Gordon Harold (parts 1–4)
ONE
The following excerpt of life features a young advertising project manager named, Gordon Harold. He has two first names. Some people do and that is okay. The first part of this story will be told by me, his lawyer. My name is Travis Bott. I work at the law firm of Davis, Davis and Bott. Gordon is my client and you will find out why. I’ll try to tell you about Gordon and then will release, for the first time, transcripts (full) of his conversations with me concerning his employment and dismissal from the advertising firm he worked at. It’s called Crucible. My goal here is not to make you believe one way or another that Gordon was or was not an excellent young project manager. My goal is to simply tell this story to make it known once and for all that my client, Mr. Harold, did nothing to deserve the dismissal he received in October of 2017.
Now, Gordon is a nice fellow. He currently resides with his parents in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota and hasn’t left the state since the Harold Family Reunion of 2000. In July of that year his family — his mom, Brenda, dad Steve and two sisters Carrie and Sylvia) to a waterpark in the Wisconsin Dells. But, Gordon travels in other ways. He has getaways, little mini vacations, he takes trips in his mind. You see, Gordon has rocks that take him places, some are real places he’s seen on TV or online, others are completely made up. His rocks are like travel agents he can keep in his pocket and rub when he needs to get away. Gordon can’t rub on actual travel agents. That’s…
