A Halloween Movie Night With KISS
I wrote this in 2014 and stumbled into it while looking for something else in my Google Drive. Giving it a home on Medium for posterity. Because this is really important *content*.
Halloween is fun. It’s a great night filled with ghouls, kids and costumes. It’s also a night where adults (young and old) get together to get a little wild — or “cray” if you’re one of the young adults. The fellas show up dressed like dead Justin Bieber, sexy Brian Dennehy or Bowser from Sha Na Na. Meanwhile, the ladies have an opportunity, one night per year, to dress up as Sexy Mister Peanut, Hester Prynne, or Bowser from Sha Na Na. This year, Friday, October 31st will be a night for chaos, candy and camaraderie — who’s bringin’ the movies?
The following films are essential for a musically infused Halloween night: Rocky Horror Picture Show, Little Shop of Horrors and for some added Deppth (see what I did there?) you might throw in Sweeney Todd. However, I have a question. A question that has probably never been asked while discussing Halloween flicks: What about KISS? Yes, the band, KISS.
